Senior Electrical Tendering & Design Engineer - Up to £45,000

Bellshill - Full Time - 37.5 hours a week

The Company

One of the UKs biggest and best independent utility network providers is looking for a new Multi-Utility Design Engineer to join them and work out of their Glasgow office. The Role

The successful candidate, reporting to the Design Manager, will be responsible for providing multi utility design and technician support to the business as well as its partners. You also aid in the maintenance of company records.

Responsibilities

*

Design electrical, water and gas utility networks and undertake MU demand calculations

*

Preparing network records

*

Ensuring compliance with NRSWA procedures

*

Undertake Technical and Safety Audits

*

Applying for CSEP/POC

*

Liaise with UIP’s on all aspects of design

*

Liaise with other departments to progress approved networks in the design process

*

Implement and develop processes to internally communicate any technical and maintenance requirements for accepted projects

*

Develop and use of system/databases to manage customer requirements to facilitate all aspects of UIP relations

*

Process approved and subsequent variations to network drawings, emergency cover and data submissions in line with system/company requirements

*

Issue data and reports in line with current business requirements

*

Maintain and improve consistent accuracy of data asset records

Requirements:

*

Have experience working in a multi-utility design role

*

Have a good working knowledge of at least two of the following utilities: Gas, Water, Electric, Fibre

*

Have a working knowledge of current Legislation, Technical Standards & Specifications, Codes of Practice and Recommendations relating to the design of Multi Utility Systems and the requirements for the technical records. Procedures. As well the safe design and operation of fibre networks.

Be capable of preparing Company procedures to reflect legislative and industry practices.
