Tailored Recruitment Consultancy are working exclusively with a leading manufacturing company in Bradford to recruit an experienced Credit Controller on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be working within a fast-paced, rapidly growing manufacturing environment, alongside customer account managers in a challenging and varied role.

The Role

* Building and maintaining positive customer relationships via e-mail, telephone and face to face.

* Handling both internal & external customer queries / enquires quickly and professionally.

* Setting up new customer accounts and making sure all correct and relevant information has been provided.

* Ensuring the timely collection of monies in line with payment terms.

* Chasing overdue debt and placing accounts on hold when agreed by Senior Management.

* Negotiating payment plans with problematic customers.

* Credit checking customer accounts and advising appropriate credit limits.

* Working closely with the credit insurance company to obtain credit limits and report overdue debt.

* Engage with legal proceeding when authorised by Senior Management.

* Manually inputting and raising warranty / miscellaneous invoices to customers.

* Processing proforma invoices and sending to the relevant customer contact.

* Daily posting of customer payments received into the company bank accounts.

* Making sure customers receive statements of account.

* Completing all sales ledger month end procedures in a timely and accurate manner.

* Building and maintaining positive relationships with the sales team to ensure the best customer experience possible and cohesive business partnering ethos.

* Updates / reviews with Finance Manager on a regular basis to review current position and set KPI’s and priorities.

* Weekly cash collection forecasting

* Monthly / weekly reports for senior management team.

* Meeting KPI Targets.

Successful Candidate

* Previous Credit control experience in a challenging customer environment.

* Strong teamwork ethic.

* Comfortable working in a busy environment and meeting targets.

* Excellent attention to detail, communication and administration skills.

* Strong IT skills.

* High levels of professionalism, commerciality and a strong understanding of how credit control impacts a business
