Acorn Finance is currently on the lookout for a technically gifted Payroll Manager to join a growing organisation in Cardiff City Centre.

This role will head up the payroll function to ensure that all requirements are fulfilled for various payroll groups within the organisation but to also be instrumental in ensuring the successful implementation of a new payroll system.

This role offers a salary up to £45,000 pa and the organisation offers some fantastic benefits at this exciting time.

What the role involves:

- Actively managing the payroll team of three ensuring that all requirements are fulfilled

within their deadlines

- Managing various payrolls on multiple frequencies within the organisation.

- Providing significant expertise to ensuring the compliance of pensions in the pension

scheme rules.

- Ensuring you’re actively involved with all key activities.

- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements including timely returns, RTI

submissions, deductions & benefit administration.

- Playing a lead role in the development of a new payroll system & the ongoing development

of other payroll staff.

- Working closely with the pensions team to ensure that all pension rates are accurately

recorded and reported for each employee.

- Ensuring that all staff are notified of changes within the payroll system.

- Acting as the liaison between the payroll & HR function.

- Assisting with adhoc requests from managers when required.

- Actively pursuing more efficient operational controls within the payroll function.

What we’re looking for:

- Qualified member of the CIPP – Essential.

- Experience working in a high-volume payroll function within a large organisation.

- Experience of undergoing a new system implementation.

- Very technically gifted in order to understand the challenges facing the department.

- Exceptional knowledge of statutory regulations & demonstrable experience of keeping up

to date with changing legislation.
