An exciting career move has arisen with a well-established firm of chartered accountants in Glasgow for a qualified CA or ACA with a background in professional practice at Senior, Assistant Manager, or Manager level.
Duties will cover dealing with a broad range of clients ranging from sole traders and partnerships to limited companies.
You will handle a portfolio of c150 clients, many of them Chinese, both Cantonese and Mandarin-speaking. An ability with Cantonese would be required and an ability with both would ideal!
You will also manage a team of staff, allocating and reviewing their work and ensuring that deadlines are met. You will review files, finalise jobs, draft fees and handle various ad hoc duties such as projections, cash flows, company secretarial work and VAT and you will have reasonable competency in dealing with corporation tax, accounts disclosure and accounting standards.
You will use Sage, IRIS, Quickbooks, Xero, Excel and Word, but good software skills, whether with these packages or others will be expected.
You will also be responsible for training where that is necessary.
