Materials Planning Coordinator

Barnsley, South Yorkshire

As our client's Materials Planning Coordinator (MPC), you will supervise the movement of all materials, goods and processes across the business; supervisions the flow of materials between ourselves and suppliers. You will drive improvement and promote continuous improvement of materials cost and quality whilst working with key stakeholders.

Your role will require you to manage the Materials scheduler and Store Cell Leaders, producing direct reports to enable utilisation of available planning systems. You role will ensure you lead the business to have optimal balance between customer service and operation cost efficiency, through converting sales forecasts into achievable productions and material plans/schedules.

You will establish and monitor material variance ensuring compliance is achieved. All NPI Material processes ensuring new products are set up with Lead-time agreed, will be managed by you. You will be responsible for managing risk; collecting and analysing data; ensure audits are reported in line with compliance.

Key Areas, Roles & Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate & continual stock counting and control

*

BOM review and management

*

Review of Supplier performance and agreements to ensure cost effective supply

*

MRP Management tracking usage and demand for JIT

*

Investigation of Supplier Non-delivery and non-conformance

*

Facilitation of material flow and Co-ordinate warehouse picking

*

Delivery of Kan Ban process to ensure continuous production flow

*

Identification & implementation of Lean loyal Supply chain

*

Support and assist with Continuous Improvement Opportunities

*

Establish SOP documentation for all Material Processes

*

Work with all key stakeholders to drive the OTIF measure

For this role they are looking for the following:

Proactive positive attitude with a desire to want to improve and do things better

Ability to work as part of a team both office and factory based

*

Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to influence and communicate across all levels of the business.

*

Excellent use of IT systems and Microsoft Office skills, with advance experience in Excel and MRP stock systems

*

Good attention to detail; organised manner and the ability to prioritise your work load effectively.

*

A working background of Material Planning / Supply Chain analysis experience.

Understanding and use of LEAN / KAN BAN Methodologies
