IT Analyst – 2nd/3rd Line Support – Group Services – IS – Spalding Bakkavor

SALARY / BENEFITS

£24,000 – £28,000 Per Annum

Permanent and full time

Hours: 8am -4.30pm/8.30am – 5pm/9.30am – 6pm

25 days holiday

Bakkavor's Group Services functions are based in Spalding, Lincolnshire with a small number of people working at the Group's Head Office in London. There are around 350 working across functions such as IS, Procurement, Finance, HR, Technical, Marketing and Administration.

JOB DETAIL

A fantastic opportunity for an IT Analyst has arisen to provide 2nd/3rd Line support at our food manufacturing facility at Group Services, Spalding, working in a desk-based position.

You will be involved in IT support for a large, global company with various offices, providing laptop and telephony, mobile support.

QUALIFICATIONS & CRITEREON:

* Keen interest in technology

* Experience of working in an IT support environment

* High degree of technical knowledge in end user computing, mobile and fixed telephony, printers and business applications

* Able to work to tight timescales and deliver on schedule

* Customer service focussed

* Excellent communicator both with internal IS staff and business colleagues

The role of the IS Analyst:

Their aim is to restore normal service operation as quickly as possible and minimise any adverse effect on business operations. This makes sure that the best possible levels of service quality and availability are returned and maintained.

They aim to resolve and control the root causes of incidents caused by errors within the IT infrastructure and applications. They also work to prevent the reoccurrence of these incidents.

They are responsible for identifying risks for team owned services as defined in the Service Catalogue. Support Analysts must be responsible for testing new/changed services, firmware and application upgrades and transition of new services to operational support,

The role holder must adhere to IS and company policies, procedures, audit and legal requirements. Seek opportunities to improve the efficiency of IS policies and procedures.
