Plans, implements, and maintains the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) programs and activities for 3 assigned manufacturing site(s) in the Tulsa region (within a 10 mile radius) ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Provide HSE guidance and technical support to management and other employees regarding HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.

Assess sites, develop and implement strategies to reduce injuries, environmental accidents and other issues that may affect the safety of personnel at the facilities.

Ensure compliance with HSE-related legal requirements, including submission of required permits, documents, and paperwork and maintaining required records and documents.

Work with site management and other personnel in the development and implementation of site-specific practices and procedures designed to create a culture of safety and injury prevention, including JHAs, Hazard and Risk Assessments, Environmental Impact Assessments, etc.

Document and investigate all work-related injuries and claims; determine root cause(s) and work with appropriate personnel to develop and implement corrective actions designed to prevent reoccurrence.

Manage waste and raw material removal processes including labeling, inspection, training, documentation, and proper disposal.

Work with Facility Managers to identify HSE training requirements and implement programs that ensure personnel are receiving required training. This includes, but is not limited to, new employee orientation and OSHA training.

Lead and participate in HSE audits and resulting corrective actions.

Provide accurate HSE data, trend analyses, and associated metrics as required.

Co-ordinate Industrial Hygiene program and schedule all testing as required, including employee health monitoring.


Leads the management/employee Safety Committee for the sites, including the monthly safety meetings and safety tours.

Manages the PPE reimbursement program for safety shoes and safety glasses.



Associate degree in a related discipline; Bachelors degree preferred;

At least 5 years HSE experience at a manufacturing/fabrication facility;

OSHA 10 and 30 Training or equivalent.

Root cause analysis training

Professional certifications and/or additional education in the HSE field strongly desired.


Valid drivers license; good driving record and your own transportation to access all 3 locations within a 10-mile radius.

Broad knowledge of HSE-related programs, best practices, and regulations, including OSHA General, Constructor Industry standards, and Federal/State regulations for environmental compliance.

Ability to speak and conduct training in front of small and large audiences

Strong computer skills, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Excellent customer service and communication skills; professional bearing and demeanor

Exceptional organizational and record keeping skills

Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships across all levels of the business

Strong skills with Microsoft Office software.

The employee must regularly sit at a computer; use hands to type, key, or use a mouse; talk; and hear.

The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions

Work is sometimes performed in an office environment, although most of the time is spent in manufacturing areas requiring the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses and safety shoes, and exposure to moving equipment, heat, cold, dust, and odors.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate in the office and moderate to loud in the manufacturing areas.

Travel between 3 locations within a 10 mile radius is required.
