HCI has built its success through strong leadership, employee and customer loyalty and an exceptional sales force.Posting Address Hubbell Incorporated 3902 Sample Street South Bend In 46619 Position Overview * Review and coordinate projects as well as specify equipment and auxiliary needs in conjunction with Mechanical Engineering and production personnel * Coordinate standardization of materials necessary to maintain systems & equipment * Coordinate, supervise, trouble shoot and completely implement the installation of equipment, systems and utility services related to that equipment * Design special equipment and controls for new and existing equipment required to improve plant productivity * Optimize the final operation of equipment and systems to ensure safe, reliable, efficient and cost effective operation * Coordinate the training necessary to operate and maintain new equipment * Submit cost savings ideas whenever possible Duties and Responsibilities ~Develop / trouble shoot PLC (and PC) based programs on high volume production lines ~Programming responsibilities for point to point operations. Fanuc robotic experience is preferred ~Assist and / or write PLC programs for new equipment or automated lines ~Communicate, coordinate and be responsible for various activities with other departments, outside vendors / suppliers, engineering firms and special equipment / tool manufacturers as requested ~Document / control electrical schematics ~Recommend / participate in activities to improve overall plant performance ~Assist Maintenance / Plant Engineering in problem resolution of press malfunctions, repair and improvements Skills and Experience * Mechanical or Electrical Engineer Degree preferred * Minimum five years press equipment exposure and PLC programming experience (preferably in metal stamping industry) * Computer literate, especially in MicroSoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and Access * AutoCad or equivalent capability * Reliable, effective and productive project record Education Bachelors Degree in Engineering General Hubbell Incorporated, its subsidiaries and affiliates, is an EO Employer AA: M/F/Veteran/Disability.
