Accountable for the design, analysis, and development of Solars Construction

Services projects and products. Is provided considerable latitude in

determining technical objectives of assignment.

Wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in the field plus

working knowledge of other related disciplines.

Involves being part of and leading a team of engineers and technicians to

create the projects and products deliverables (documents and drawings).

Requires frequent inter-organizational contacts with sales, marketing, customer

services, and manufacturing plus outside customer contacts.

Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical

problems associated with specific projects.

Must work within schedule and cost constraints and internal Company policies.



PRINCIPAL_ACCOUNTABILITIES



In_Addition_To_Accountabilities_Associated_With_Lower_Grades,_Performs_Specific

Engineering_Assignments_Which_Could_Include_(but_Are_Not_Limited_To)_Any

Combination_Of_The_Following_Major_Activities

* Develop engineering solutions to assigned tasks within schedule and

budget constraints

* Identify problems, issues, and concerns; plan and implement remediation

activities

* Contribute to team activities in a leadership role to minimize process

time requirements

* Assist in the direction and training of Junior engineers

RESPONSIBLE FOR INCORPORATING THE LATEST DESIGN CRITERIA FOR THE FABRICATION

AND SITE ASSEMBLY ORGANIZATIONS



Job_Primay_Role_And_Responsibilities



Primary role is to fulfill the structural engineering needs for Oil & Gas

facilities engineering in the support of sales and execution of Solar Turbines

Balance of Plants projects.

Civil/structural engineering for Oil & Gas facilities projects utilizing gas

turbine compressor sets & generators. Projects being developed include

Compressor modular buildings.



Duties include development of structures for Modular prefabricated buildings,

offshore Single Lift Modules, development of civil and foundation designs for

land based compression and power generation equipment, structural skid design

for skidded/modular process equipment, preparing project cost estimates, and

support of fabrication and site construction activities. Design and Development

of structures is done with the use of structural analysis software.

Work entails active contribution to the development of project drawings such as

Structural Arrangements & Details, Foundations, Civil design, etc.

Designs and specifies structural/civil components as found commonly in the Oil

& Gas environment.

Participates in project design reviews, marine surveys and various other

departmental meetings involving structural issues.

Interfaces with suppliers during the definition of equipment scope and

throughout project execution

Assists in development of documents required for onshore and offshore

transportation of large equipment.

Provides field support during fabrication, commissioning, and start-up of

designed systems.



Minimum_Qualifications

* Bachelor of Science Degree in Structural

* Minimum of 7 years of experience/solid knowledge in:

* AISC, ASCE and IBC codes, and ASTM, ACI, CRSI, ANSI, AWS, API 2A, OSHA

and other codes and standards as applied to structures and civil works

including common international codes.

* Industry standard structural analysis software - STAAD Pro and Mathcad.

* Concrete structures and foundations calculations.

Preferred_Qualifications

* Professional Engineering License (PE)

* Working knowledge of Spanish language
