I am currently seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor on a freelance basis for a tier 1 main contractor who is seeking additional commercial staff for their construction division on a refurbishment project in the City of London.

The project has approximately 12 months remaining and is a £30m heavy cut and carve refurbishment with extensive structural alterations. The project Quantity Surveyor is required to have responsibilities of all commercial aspects and will be reporting to the on site Commercial Manager.

They are specifically seeking a candidate with experience of 2 stage tender of JCT form of contract. The ideal candidate will also have worked previously on cut n carve refurbishments in addition to being able to demonstrate a stable CV with good spells of longevity.

The role could be as long as 12 months as this is the remaining duration of the project and there is also the possibility of future projects with the client as they have a burgeoning order book of work moving forward.

The ideal Project Quantity Surveyor will have;

* Main Contracting experience delivering projects from pre-construction through to Final Accounts

* 2 stage tender experience on JCT contract

* Have experience on cut n carve refurbishments, preferably large scale, high value projects

* Experience working with a Main-Contractor environment

* Degree Qualified or equivalent

* Ability to demonstrate a stable work history with successful high-profile project completion
