The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant

For this SEN Teaching Assistant role you will be required to work with a small class of 7 students made up of the following; 4 students in a wheelchair, 2 students with Down Syndrome and 1 student who will be on the Autistic Spectrum. Therefore the ideal SEN Teaching Assistant for this role will have had previous experience within a similar role or a person who has come from a care background.

The School – PMLD School

Found in the borough of Southwark, this PMLD School caters for students with Complex Needs between the ages of 11-19 years. The Schools main aim is to provide full support so all their students are able to gain confidence and skills that they will be able to utilise with in the wider community. They currently have over 130 students on role and in their last Ofsted in 2017, they were reviewed as ‘good’ in all areas.
