Job Title: Lead Analyst - Pricing

Location: Glasgow or Reading

Salary: £43,200 - £65,500 depending on skills and experience + annual bonus

Permanent | Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available | 37 hours per week

Our Role

In this role you'll lead a team of 4 skilled analysts and be responsible for providing detailed forecasts of income, costs and associated risks within a multi-billion pound business. You'll create robust and assured processes to deliver your numbers, which will be at the centre of the commercial decision making within SSE Energy Services. They will;

- set the financial forecasts used to manage the business

- underpin the business case modelling for new tariffs and investments in sales & retention

- form the basis for measuring the value of individual customers around which we build our commercial strategy

Working closely with the finance team and other SSE Energy Services teams, you'll build confidence and improve the quality of decision making - explaining variances, running commercial scenarios, identifying key assumptions and quantifying risks.

Your Skills and Experience

Were looking for someone who has a strong analytical background, ideally within commercial analysis and/or pricing. A sound knowledge and understanding of energy, utilities or a similar retail market is helpful, and ideally, you'll have relevant qualifications or have demonstrable experience in a similar role. You'll be analytical and inquisitive by nature with good communication and presentation skills. Having a keen eye for any process or control weaknesses will be important, along with the ability to drive through the necessary improvements. An ability to simplify complex and technical information to ensure full understanding and buy in is an essential skill. You'll be a competent line manager who can demonstrate leadership skills across cross function projects.
