Job Title: Sampling Technician (Water)

Location: Flexible, Thames Valley Region

Rate: £200.00 Per Day, Plus Van

Description:

Our client is part of a joint venture which is delivering one of the largest and most varied water infrastructure improvement programmes in the UK. It will be providing design-and-build solutions for the development and delivery of Thames Water’s AMP6 investment programme in a ‘super alliance’ of industry-leading organisations.

They are looking to strengthen their commissioning team with a Sampling Technician. You will cover the Thames Water region and will travel to sites to take and analyse samples from water and wastewater treatment plants. You will report directly to the Area Delivery Commissioning Manager and the responsibilities will include:

* Taking and analysing of samples in a safe manner

* Completing risk assessments and method statements are produced for all activities

* Documenting and communicating of the samples

* Planning of all sampling activities

* Maintaining all analytical equipment

Qualifications:

* Relevant professional qualification

* Experience of laboratory testing particularly within the water industry

* Knowledge of sewage and water treatment processes, systems and plant and equipment.

* Good working knowledge of water industry analytical practices, specifications and regulatory requirements

* Safe systems of work within the water industry

* Ability to plan and work independently
