Head of English required for Secondary school. Head of English will be available to start September 2019

Head of English will previous experience teaching English to KS3 & KS4 pupils

The Role - Head of English The school are looking for a Head of English to lead their department from September 2019.

The role will be to commit to a permanent Head of English role guiding teachers. The Head of English will have strong subject knowledge and happy to support department teachers through expertise and experience.

The Head of English will also have classroom responsibility and some timetable of teaching KS4 pupils who will be fast approaching their GCSE’s. The Head of English will be confident in managing a team and delegating weekly learning objectives for staff to teach. The Head of English will be organised and be willing to review team targets ensuring that English is taught in line with the national curriculum. Head of English applicants will only be considered with minimum of 3 years experience teaching English in the UK, a degree, PGCE in English or Drama with English along with QTS.
