Material Planner

Location : Sunbury on Thames

Salary : £19-21,000 + benefits + bonus

Working hours: 38.5 hours per week (Mon-Thu 8am - 5pm, Fri 8am - 3pm)

My client who are based in Sunbury on Thames are looking for a Material Planner to join their team. We are looking for candidates who ideally have experience of inventory control, purchasing materials and material planner. The Material Planner is mainly responsible for providing support to our finished goods Planners and Packing Team through packaging material inventory control, procurement, maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery.

Daily Duties

Purchasing packaging materials to support packing demand, making sure material supply is on time and economic.

Managing material inventory level in line with company goals

Material storage/ area control and physical stock counting on a weekly basis

Quality control on material supply, including spec approval, spot checking on delivery, exception handling and providing vendor performance reports

Packing machines troubleshooting and maintenance.

Coordinate where necessary with other departments such as F/G Planner, Accounts Payable, Warehouse, and Inside Sales.

Creating/ modifying graphics design for ours USB co-logo projects

Skillset

Computer-literate with working knowledge of MS Excel and Word

Excellent organisational skills

Ability to use independent judgment

Adobe Illustrator skills desired but not essential
