Our client is an established manufacturer of valves for the energy industry. To further strengthen their quality department they are seeking to appoint and additional Quality Engineer.
The Quality Engineer will provide additional support to the QA department with all aspects of project and system quality as well as process improvement.

Quality Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Inspector / Quality Manager / Valves/ Pumps / Seals / Quality

* Liaise with departmental heads, operators and suppliers to maintain/improve product quality
* Verify the quality and performance of products to ensure operational performance free from defects.
* Troubleshooting and rectification of any existing defects and non-conformance
* Witness performance testing when required
* Apply good manufacturing practice to solutions
* Participate in product improvement and new product Introduction activities
* Visit suppliers where necessary for quality improvement or non-conformance
* Maintain all necessary records for internal and external purposes.

Quality Engineer - Skills and Abilities - Inspector / Quality Manager / Valves/ Pumps / Seals / Quality

* Mechanical Engineering qualification (Minimum ONC)
* Experience of Root Cause Analysis using standard methodologies such as 8D, 5WHY, FMEA etc.
* Experience of Valves, Pumps or Seals within energy industries
* Experience of various industry codes such as API, ASME, NACE
* Strong problem solving skills
* Computer literate
