SEN teaching assistant – Birmingham – ASAP

Academics Ltd is currently recruiting SEN teaching assistants that are comfortable working one to one in Birmingham. As a recruiting agency that specialise in SEN we work closely with a lot of SEN schools in and around Birmingham that are consistently looking for teaching assistants that are happy to work with individual students. These students will have additional needs such as Profound, autism, ADHD or behavioural. Roles such as this require candidates that are adaptable and understanding of the circumstances they are placed in. Candidates would need to be efficient at working on their own with creative approaches to engaging the children in learning.

The role

* One to one support- supporting children with a range of SEN

* Assisting children with additional learning needs

* Adhering to safeguarding guidelines and school policies

* Assisting class teacher with student support.

* Liaising with parents and teachers regarding progress and specialised individual programmes

Requirements

* 1 years experience working with children with SEN

* Available as soon as possible

* Ability to travel to Birmingham

Desirable

* Level 3 qualified or equivalent

* Degree qualified

* Team teach (prevent training)
