The CRM Data scientist will be responsible for developing a data model that tracks the progress of customers as they traverse across our loyalty engagement cycle and evolving this into an advanced state that proactively detects signals for customer engagement opportunities. One of the key functions of the role will be to interpret the loyalty lifecycle data model into airline specific variants that can be actionable for each airline. This role will cover a global customer base, working in partnership with the airline marketing and analytics teams and will report in to the Analytics and Insight Lead.
What you'll be doing
* Responsible for the ongoing management and optimisation of our Loyalty engagement segments
* Identify opportunities to improve customer engagement through a test and learn approach on airline marketing programmes and campaigns
* Use advanced analytics and machine learning to detect significant variables/ features on an ongoing basis that detect emerging signals in customer behaviours
* Ensure segmentation effectiveness, update to reflect the changing behaviour of our customers
* Provide recommendations on what is or isn't effective making sure that the customer and data are central to decisions being made for customers
* Encourage the whole business to be customer focused and data led to drive cultural change
* Mentoring and potential Line Management of junior analysts.
What we are looking for
* Experience in working with complex datasets to deliver measurable impact
* Understanding of CRM execution/ campaign delivery architectures and cloud based data technologies
* Committed to delivering quality work with excellent attention to detail
* Able to communicate results and recommendations and tailor to specific audience
* Influencing skills – able to gain buy in and change mind sets to deliver long term sustainable positive change
* Exceptional time management, with the ability to meet commitments and stick to schedules. Proactive – flagging opportunities to improve on how and what we do today
* Strong commercial acumen.
* Strong analytical and numerical skills are essential. Either attained from a degree and / or relevant work experience
* Advanced data modelling skills. Ability to use advanced segmentation techniques including statistical regression and machine learning
* Efficient in the use of statistical techniques, enabling easy interpretation and analysis of large amounts of data
* Advanced level of working knowledge in SQL and Excel is essential
* Use of reporting packages, e.g. Tableau, QlikView. Use of analytical packages, e.g. R, Python, SAS
* Use of cloud based Data engineering and ETL packages e.g. Redshift, S3, Nifi, Kafka, Spark
* Experience in understanding how data can be used to drive personalisation
