The Onsite Direct Recruiter is responsible for sourcing candidates externally for approved roles as directed by the onsite Recruiter, as well as managing and screening all direct applicants following the long list from the Offsite Direct Sourcer.


Ensuring the direct recruitment SLAs are met/or exceeded.

Attending telephone role briefings with the Recruiter as required.

Ensuring permanent direct sourcing strategies are agreed with the onsite Recruiter and channels are identified to deliver against vacancy requirements

Responsible for proactive sourcing against agreed role profiles, including developing market maps/market intelligence in conjunction with the Global Research Team.

Source candidates with the Global Research Team via social media, networking, database, candidate portal on client website etc.

Closing the candidates on salary expectations and ensuring all aspects of the client cover sheet has been fully covered eg notice period, interviews, holidays etc and that the candidate fully understands the Pre-employment Screening requirements of the client.

Ensuring all KPIs are met eg candidates sourced, candidates interviewed, shortlisted, interviews and offers etc

Building proprietary direct talent pools for the Client utilising knowledge from the Resourcing Partner using the Recruitment Systems and CRM tools as appropriate

Ensuring that all candidate contact promotes the Clients employer brand

Providing regular updates to the Resourcing Partners on the strength of direct talent pools and sourcing progress against specific roles.

Working with the Resourcing Partners to develop innovative sourcing techniques.

Become an expert in the specialism recruited for and be able to converse confidently with prospective candidates on skillsets, technologies and projects in that specialism.

Conducting telescreening and review of competencies, skills and experience as part of qualification process before submitting a shortlist to the onsite Resourcing Partner within the agreed timeframes.

Be comfortable managing and reacting efficiently to changing volumes of recruitment

Liaison with Resourcing Partner to ensure feedback is given on all CVs

Provision of regular commentary on direct recruitment activity including market insight, competitor activity, salary information and new initiatives to attract candidates

Conduct meetings with placed candidates to gather referrals and strengthen relationships with the business

Ad hoc project work as given by the Direct Team Leader and Resourcing Partners from time to time

Maintain a strong understanding of the client structure, objectives, strategy, employer brand and key stakeholders.

Provide credible and consultative advice and support to Recruiters during the entire recruitment life cycle

Encourage skills transfer to new members or to keep existing members abreast of developments as well as knowledge share whether within the on-site team or with regular peer contact

Providing regular market information from both internal and external sources

Partnering in recruitment activity and offering added value services

Ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets

Ensure compliance with all client policies (including approval systems, compensation policies, e-mail policies etc)

Ability to develop and deliver recruitment strategies and ideas

Implement simple, effective and trackable resourcing, record keeping and administration processes - ensure Recruitment Systems are accurate and up to date at all times

Be adept at producing and developing regular and meaningful MI reporting to both client and RS management


Experience of recruitment for financial or professional services essential.

Experience of high volume permanent recruitment essential.

Experience of working to targets and deadlines essential.

Experience of proactive and headhunt approaches to candidates desirable.

Service and delivery focussed with very professional attitude essential.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential.

Prioritises effectively is an essential skill.

Ability to work to tight deadlines is an essential skill.
