Tempest Resourcing are seeking experienced SEND teaching assistants who are seeking a new full-time opportunity in a well-established SEND school in the area of Swanley to start in September and October 2019.

We are seeking committed individuals who want to support children and young people with various learning difficulties such as ASD, SLD and Complex needs from age 3-19 on a 1-2-1 basis. This school is offering temp - perm contracts as well as 1 academic year contracts and will support all staff with safeguarding and restraint training. They have an excellent staff and school community and want to find friendly TA's who are as passionate about the children as they are and to support them long-term.

To be considered for the opportunity you must:

Have GCSEs in English & Maths or Level 2 Equivalent
Have experience supporting children with learning difficulties and disabilities and working with challenging behaviours
Have excellent Interpersonal Skills to work effectively with staff and students
Be happy with personal care
Provide valid and clear DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
Be available 5 days per week and able to commit for at least 6 months (From September)

For this opportunity, the following is desirable:

Experience with PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System)
Experience working with Low Functioning Autism
A driving license due to the location of the school
Experience with personal care, manual handling, restraint training and safeguarding.
