Salary: Circa £34k

Hours: Fulltime Monday to Friday

Duration: Perm

Our client is a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of high-quality medical devices. They urgently require an experienced, hands on, Product Development Engineer with the ability to write software / firmware and design multi-layer PCB’s.

Main Duties

• support and facilitate the design, development, and implementation of ideas created and generated

• lead the development team, supporting, coaching and mentoring other team members

• work as part of a close-knit development team, sharing ideas, skills and knowledge

• new product development but will involve current product upgrades, technical datasheet updates, and much more

• be an excellent communicator with a mix of technical skills such as software and firmware writing, instrument design, and PCB design

• interpret ideas and drawings and then design, create and test ways of implementing them as required

We Need

• a person with enthusiasm, positivity, tenacity and resilience with a passion to successfully exceed expectations

• an individual that is keen to learn and thrives in a demanding environment, able to apply their expert level of technical know-how and skills

• ideally experience of quality management standards, regulatory documentation, FMEAs but can be taught as part of the role.

• a flexible and adaptable approach to the design and development process is essential, being able to welcome and encourage changes along the way.

Required Experience:

* PCB Design

* Software writing

* Electronics

* PIC 32 an advantage
