Finance Programme Manager required for a multinational professional services group with a global turnover in excess of £800m. Following a huge investment plan for the IT projects division in the UK, it's an exciting time to be joining this company in the lead finance role for IT projects, including systems and hardware implementations/upgrades.

As the Finance Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of IT projects from a financial perspective - this includes management of IT Project Managers and Business Analysts who're responsible for the technical aspects, and key business partnering relationships with senior business leaders and financial teams. Your immediate responsibilities will include:

* Planning and designing the programme and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective actions

* Ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the programme and outwardly on its coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other programmes and corporate, technical and specialist standards

* Managing the programme's budget, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the programme progresses

* Facilitating the appointment of individuals to project teams

* Ensuring the delivery of new products or services from projects is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan and programme governance arrangements

* Ensuring there is allocation of common resources and skills within the programme's individual projects

* Managing communications with all stakeholders

* Managing risks to the programme's successful outcome

* Working with the business change manager or equivalent on the transition to the new business as usual position

* Reporting the progress of the programme at regular intervals senior stakeholders

The ideal candidate will be a CCAB qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or ACMA) who has recently moved into a programme management role with several years' experience managing IT projects from a financial angle. Previous team management is essential.

You will be a confident and capable business partner, as this role involves frequent liaison with a wide scope of stakeholders - from senior management and financial teams, to end users and IT department heads
