Proven territory salesperson with specific fasteners experience required to develop market share and brand recognition with OEMs across the Midlands and South.

The Position:

Reporting to the Technical Sales Director, the successful candidate will be tasked with achieving sales and profit targets and maintaining customer loyalty, principally involving:

* Communicating with existing and potential customers in person and by phone

* Carrying out plant visits and product demonstrations

* Obtaining and forwarding orders in line with company policy

* Training customers on products’ application

* Producing the highest possible margins and maintaining correct payment terms

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

* A minimum of three years’ field sales experience

* Strong knowledge of fixings and their application in manufacturing

* Experience of selling to OEMs

* Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing

* Computer literacy – good use of Excel/Power Point

* Commercial awareness and solid negotiating skills

* An ability to develop and secure new business as well as build on existing relationships

* Self-motivation, persistence and strong organisational abilities
