Electronics Engineer

An enthusiastic and experienced Electronics Engineer is required to join a successful R&D team involved in the design, development and test of next generation specialist tools for the oil and gas industry. The successful introduction of a range of new products has resulted in company growth which provides ongoing opportunities for skilled and innovative engineers. This role will suit an ambitious and talented engineer who relishes a challenging interesting role - there will be occasional international travel.

Principal Duties:

Design of electronics for surface and downhole tools

Circuit analysis, simulation and schematic capture for component level PCB design

Development of hardware and software for testing and production

Plan, prepare and conduct the qualification of new designs and technology

Essential requirements:

Degree qualification in Electronics Engineering

A minimum of eight years experience in electronic design

Good verbal and written communication skills

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

The following would be advantageous:

Experience with downhole tools in the oil and gas sector

Experience with high temperature electronics

Analogue and low power electronics design experience

Wireless and acoustic communications design experience
