The Job:

To develop and deliver the financial function of Herrco Cosmetics encompassing overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of the company.Provide insight and analysis to the Directors and Senior Management Team, (reporting to Operations Director), to optimise financial performance and strategic position. Implement recommendations based on these findings with the most favourable profit outcomes.Provide further enhancements to the IT systems and processes to improve management reporting and financial planning and analysis in a fast paced, thriving environment.Manage and develop the finance team (2 people) ensuring all financial functions are met to the highest standards Control and ensure that all legal and best practice reporting functions are completed.Providing insight into longer term vision for the future with big aspirations for company growth whilst simultaneously providing great attention to detail and ensuring progress is made.


* Provide management to the team to optimise financial performance, offering proactive solutions.

* Take overall responsibility of the accounting function and providing strategic input.

* Provide financial analysis and reporting including overseeing the accurate and timely completion of the monthly management accounts and annual financial statement (which are undertaken by the Financial Controller).

* Lead the management of cash flow, taking responsibility for cash management policies, processes and procedures.

* Lead and develop the budgeting cycle and forecasts, alongside ongoing monitoring against plans are targets.

* Ensure all financial systems are robust, compliant and support both the current activities and future growth ambitions.

* Lead, coach and mentor the finance team both the Financial Controller and the Finance & Despatch Coordinator to meet their objectives, ensuring adequate cover is provided.

* Oversee the payroll processing and final sign off.

* Present the annual accounts to Directors.

* Ensure all financial related regulatory requirements are met.

* Oversee the annual financial audit.

Person Specification:

* Qualified member of an accountancy body as a chartered member (CIMA/ACCA etc)

* Experience in a financial & people management role and ideally experience in a manufacturing/production environment

* High attention to detail with ability to summarise and draw conclusions/recommendations from data
