CAD Technician – Newcastle-under-Lyme - £18-21,000 pa

Our client, a specialist sheet metal manufacturing company based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, are currently looking to recruit a CAD Technician for a permanent position at their head office. With customers around the globe, this is a great time to join the company as they look to expand over the next year.

The client is looking for a CAD Technician, to start as soon as possible, to work on technical drawings and manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD. There will also be an involvement in production control / production planning, as well as some responsibility for putting together factory layouts, again using AutoCAD. The company is looking to move onto 3D software in the near future as well, using RADAN, so the CAD Technician would be involved in the implementation of this going forward.

The Candidate

The ideal CAD Technician will bring experience working within a manufacturing environment, ideally with sheet metal. AutoCAD experience is a must, with any experience of RADAN being highly beneficial.

A thorough understanding of manufacturing methods would be highly desirable.

The Rewards

Starting salary in the region of £18-21,000 pa dependent on experience.

Working hours are 8.30am – 4.30pm, with an early finish on a Friday.
