My client, based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds is seeking a Legal Assistant for their Life Time Planning team.

The Role

You will provide administrative support to lawyers in LTP Team and assist other lawyers and support staff as appropriate.

Salary: - £16,000 - £18,000
Hours: - 9-5pm
Car Driver required due to location.


be the first point of contact for clients and new enquiries
carry out any typing as required by the lawyers in conjunction with their normal duties
oversee and co-ordinate new appointments and ensure documents are available for client meetings and arrange opening of new clients matters
arrange appointments for the team
maintain each client file in the proper manner
deal with requests for release of wills, powers of attorney and other documents
update client records on databases as required and to maintain records of client enquiries
arrange storage of original documents
carry out any scanning, photocopying and deal with any faxes and emails required by the lawyers
assist the lawyers with Time Recording
maintain the filing system for the Lawyers and keep all necessary records for the conduct of the matters and files in accordance with the legal team's audit team benchmarks
assist the lawyers in the maintenance of the clients accounts
support the wider team Lifetime Planning team when necessary

Ideally seeking a candidate with a Law Degree or Law A Level with a genuine interest to develop their career within Law
