Our in-house experts assist with the wide range of legal and ethical problems that arise from professional practice. These include clinical negligence claims, complaints, Medical and Dental Council inquiries, legal and ethical dilemmas, disciplinary proceedings, inquests and fatal accident inquiries.

We have a number of vacancies for Claims Assistant to join our team. These vacancies are offered on a 12 month fixed term basis.

The purpose of this role is to provide day to day professional support to the Claims Managers and Litigation Solicitors who manage a caseload of clinical negligence.

We have vacancies in a number of our teams, some teams require the claims assistant to handle a partial case load so previous clinical negligence or catastrophic injury experience is required.

Some roles will involve supporting on clinical negligence matters valued in excess of £750,000, carrying out liability and quantum investigations to resolve claims (through repudiation or settlement) as early and efficiently as possible. For this, high value or complex claims experience would be advantageous.

Ideally we are looking for candidates with experience of working in a legal or claims environment, clinical negligence, high value personal/catastrophic injury experience would be an advantage. You must also have strong interpersonal skills demonstrated in a high performance environment, excellent analytical ability, a good eye for detail and the ability to remain calm and professional in the face of challenge.
