Description

Develop your conveyancing expertise within a CQS accredited department located in Colchester.

Joining an experienced team which includes some of the practice’s partners, either full or on a part time basis for four days a week, the successful lawyer will take on a varied caseload of freehold and leasehold transactions from instruction to post completion with minimal supervision. Solid experience in all aspects of the conveyancing process will be essential.

Responsibilities

- Sales and purchase transactions
- Investment properties
- Remortgages and transfers of equity
- Residential landlord and tenant matters  
- Preparing contract packs
- Advising first time buyers on the conveyancing process
- Investigating titles
- Submitting and reviewing searches
- SDLT forms
- Registering properties with the Land Registry

The Candidate

- Applications are welcomed from qualified solicitors, legal executives and licensed conveyancers with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE
- Be technically proficient in all aspects of residential conveyancing
- Possess outstanding communication skills and a client-focused approach
- Works well under pressure to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy
- A team player who is equally comfortable working on their own initiative
- Has a desire for professional development
