Head of Engineering – Cambridge - £70,000 - £80,000

SoCode are currently working exclusively with a fantastic, Cambridge based start-up who are looking for a Head of Engineering to enter the business and help to build on the success that they have already had with their existing platform. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Developer / Team Lead to step-up in order to help define and develop the company’s vision for the product moving forwards.

This is a fast-paced environment using modern technology who is looking for a forward-thinking individual who can help the company keep up to date with the fast-moving world of development languages and frameworks. They need someone who not only knows the right tool for the job but can learn at a fast pace and implement when needed.

This role is offering a lot to the right individual and they are looking for someone who can get behind the company, believes in what they are trying to achieve and then help them deliver to their clients.

Essential experience:

- Senior level experience with Python / Django,

- Heavy use of JavaScript including use of modern frameworks,

- Experience with Docker,

- Forward thinking with natural leadership abilities,

- Exceptional communication skills.


- Cloud experience,

- Big data / data analysis experience,
