Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.



The Wholesale PMO (WPMO) is a team of seasoned strategy and program professionals who are aligned to support Wholesale through Portfolio Management, Program Delivery, and Project Management. Through governance and prioritization, the WPMO enables project investment decisions to be aligned to business goals and strategic priorities. Program and Project Delivery allows us to successfully execute against these priorities by advocating for our business partners while effectively collaborating with partners in technology, risk, finance, legal, operations and product. The WPMO enhances the ownership, organizational structure, standardization, and oversight of project management functions across Wholesale.

The Commercial Banking PMO Leader is responsible for partnering with the Commercial Banking line of business on the execution of projects and programs. This is a senior program and project management role. Must be able to manage multiple programs and projects within a portfolio and support the management of the Commercial Banking project delivery team. This candidate will report to the Commercial Banking & Utility leader and will be responsible for driving and leading cross line of business project teams and managing all activities in a project life-cycle (initiation planning, executing/ controlling, and closing) associated with projects.



Must be able to perform in the following capacity:



- Provide leadership, direction and coaching to a geographically disbursed project manager team.

- The Commercial Banking Portfolio Leader will consult and partner with Commercial Banking Leadership related strategic planning and project pipeline

- Ensure the consistent application of Enterprise Project Methodology processes, tools, and documentation

- Project delivery staffing, capacity planning, and quality control management of service levels/ KPIs across Commercial Banking grouping of projects

- Manage project budgets/forecasting, schedules, and staffing to ensure optimal business results

- Direct complex projects managed by others

- Business case and benefits realization tracking



Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business units risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.



As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will:



- Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.



- Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks. Required Qualifications



- 8 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, project delivery, project methodologies, digital product/program management, strategic planning or implementation

- 5 years of leadership experience

Desired Qualifications



- Commercial banking experience

- Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership

- Ability to consolidate large amounts of project status information to identify key risks, customer impact, financial implications, delays, and issues that pose material risk

- Ability to manage a budget in excess of $1 million

- Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships

- Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

- Knowledge and understanding of project management principles: estimating, staffing, managing, controlling, administering, budgeting, and executing

- Strong relationship management skills

- Leadership experience including; coaching, training, and mentoring

- Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies

- Experience analyzing, interpreting and presenting results to management

Other Desired Qualifications



- 5 years experience working within a Wholesale Project Management Office with a comprehensive knowledge of project management practices and concepts

- In-depth understanding of Wholesale business and systems corporate-wide as related to projects managed

- Demonstrated management experience leading, recruiting, developing, coaching, motivating and retaining a high performing geographically dispersed team

- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic projects from beginning to end, showing ownership of entire process

- Experience characterized by collaboration, delivery of on-time results as a senior contributor, and marked skills as a pro-active listener

- Results-driven, self-starter, detail-oriented, creative, organized

- Proven experience in personnel management including mentoring and coaching direct reports

- Superior project and program management skills including experience in lending/finance

- Extensive experience with MS Project, SharePoint, MS Office applications

- Excellent leadership, relationship building and management skills required

- Prior experience with staffing, recruiting, and coaching team members

- Experienced in the prioritization of initiatives, assigning work, execution, management and resolution of risks and issues while ensuring initiative(s) are delivered within agreed timelines ability to lead change and drive for outstanding results
