Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our nine major business lines include Business Banking, Middle Market Banking, Government and Institutional Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Financial Institutions Group, Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Wells Fargo Securities, and the Investment Portfolio. Wholesale Commercial Real Estate (WCRE) operates throughout the United States, as well as Canada and the United Kingdom, to deliver a comprehensive platform of financing and banking products for experienced commercial real estate companies including balance sheet lending, CMBS origination and distribution, loan servicing, agency financing for multifamily properties, and debt and equity capital for affordable housing.



Community Lending and Investment (CLI) is responsible for investing debt and equity capital for economic development, job creation and affordable housing in areas of need nationwide. The vertically integrated group offers a suite of debt and equity products, including Low Income Housing Tax Credits, New Market Tax Credits, construction finance and permanent finance for affordable housing, and Charter School Finance, serving for-profit and non-profit developers and other organizations.



The Closing Coordinator will be responsible for supporting internal and external customers by providing a variety of support services in account management, operations, treasury services, documentation, customer service and technical support, with an emphasis on compliance and regulatory requirements.



Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:



- Contacting customers to present product or service information and discuss operating problems

- Communicating and coordinating with assigned relationship managers

- Analyzing business issues to create operational efficiencies, quality and compliance

- Analyzing and resolving operational, system-related and/or customer issues

- Monitoring, assessing and analyzing account activity, reports and risk

- Assisting with special projects

- Providing guidance to lower level staff



Specific responsibilities include coordinating due diligence and compliance requirements associated with closing an equity investment deal. Future responsibilities will be primarily focused on customer compliance for treasury service, equity and debt platforms. These functions may include:



- Order and track receipt of flood searches, credit investigations and zoning reports

- Possess strong knowledge of compliance requirements, as well as, BSA and other federal regulations

- Track completion of compliance related items to ensure requirements are met prior to closing

- Manage volumes of emails and documents from inception through closing, maintaining well organized files

- Coordinate and collaborate with other team members throughout the various transactions

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to all applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business units risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements. Required Qualifications



- 5 years of client service experience

- Experience implementing solutions on behalf of the customer or client, while improving productivity and customer satisfaction

- Ability to work independently

- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

- Good analysis, tracking, trending, and modeling skills

- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong collaboration skills

- Strong organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills

- Strong project management skills

Other Desired Qualifications



- 3 years of wholesale banking, commercial real estate, or affordable housing experience

- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and handle conflicting priorities

- Treasury management, operational risk, and account opening experience
