Description

We are working with one of our long established clients in Melksham who are seeking an experienced Buyer to join their team on a permanent basis.
You will be working as part of the purchasing team and assisting with managing inventory levels, maintain procurement data and assist with implementing procurement strategy and policies.
To be considered for this role you will have previous buying / purchasing experience and be responsible for the following duties.
* Monitor requirements for production to include raw material ensuring materials are ordered and raised in order to be delivered within a timely manor for factory production.
* Interrupt and place daily purchase orders working closely with the customer service and sales team.
* Maintain register and and inventory transfers.
* Working closely with suppliers to identify production shortages, place orders with suppliers in regards to any shortages / replacements and work with suppliers to expedite deliveries.
* Liaise with production to communicate material delivery timings and communicate any effect to production, purchasing and planning managers.
* Stock Checking and investigating any shortages.
* Reconcile any supplier delivery notes against the correct purchase orders, create return notes and communicate rejects with both suppliers and quality departments.
* Monitor and Expedite Outstanding / Overdue orders, Advise Operations Director of any items that may impact on production.
* Review and place call off orders for fabric and maintain delivery dates.
* Complete weekly PPI counts for designated products and place manual AX PO’s for raw materials to arrive just in time for production.
* Transfer weekly production plan from AX to current AA plan format and Update Action Inventory / Forecast Spreadsheet.
* Maintain master inventory and master stock take spreadsheets are updated and maintained for 3 monthly stock takes.
* Participate in reviewing BOMs of new and existing products, maintain inventory forecast spreadsheets, source new products and place purchase orders for production.
