The Company:
My client, a well-established Building Services company, with an annual turnover of £100M are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team on large commercial projects in London.
The Electrical Project Engineer:
The key function of the electrical project engineer will be on providing a bridge between the design and project management teams in this site-based role. Key elements will focus on staff management, design management and quality assurance.
Duties will include:
* Assisting in organising project labour and materials to meet contractual programmes of works.
* Project administration and Quality assurance - Handovers, technical submittals, RFI's, Health & safety file updates, progress reporting, O&M manuals etc.
* Assisting with communicating design and design changes to the project team.
* Attending regular client/company/departmental meetings.
* Assisting with ordering materials and raising the associated purchase orders.
* Communication with the clients and suppliers to ensure that all requests are handled within the service level agreed, recorded in the systems and appropriate action is taken.
* You will be required to report to the project manager, and have direct client liaison.
* Experience in a similar role with a sub-contractor, or large building services contractor - Ideally with project experience on projects valued £10M+
* Ideally you will have formal qualifications I.e. Degree/HNC/HND/ONC - But those qualified through practical experience will also be considered.
* Proficient in the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook.
The company can offer a base salary of up to £55,000 to £65,000 p.a. or freelance £350 to £400, all dependant on experience. If you have longer term ambitions to progress your career, the company can put together a personalised development plan and help you gain the skills you need to progress.
