We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager / Building Surveyor to join a growing independent multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Milton Keynes. The successful individual will be responsible for providing full project management and building surveying services to a range of clients across multiple sectors. Due to the nature of the work, it is envisaged that the successful individual will be a Member of the RICS and have previous experience working in a consultancy environment.

Having been established for circa. 20 years now, our client are going from strength to strength and now employ 60 people across 6 offices, with intentions to continue expanding. As a result, they can offer fantastic career prospects with genuine progression opportunities.

Project Manager / Building Surveyor Position Overview

* Provide building surveying duties including building inspections, acquisition surveys, dilapidations, contract administration, maintenance and refurbishment projects, schedules of condition, party wall awards etc.

* Effectively communicate with both internal and external parties ensuring all information is available for the successful implementation and completion of projects.

* Maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new client contacts and business opportunities.

* Develop relevant knowledge and skills through regular CPD activities and maintain an up-to-date awareness of all appropriate Building Surveying legislation.

* Prepare and submit relevant administration in a timely and accurate manner.

* Adhere to procedures and policies relating to the proper use and care of equipment, health and safety, materials and quality management.

* This is indicative of the role, however, there will be other duties and responsibilities that you may be required to undertake from time to time

Project Manager / Building Surveyor Position Requirements

* A construction related university degree

* Member of the RICS

* Knowledge of industry specific software, such as AutoCAD, NBS, Microsoft Projects.

* Experience of dealing with and providing advice on a range of building related matters.

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

* Able to work individually or in a team

* Motivated and professional with the drive to succeed
