Assistant Quantity Surveyor


£25-30k (Dependant on experience)


We’re working with one of the UK’s leading manufacturing and assembly companies who have experienced exponential growth of over the last 12 months. Due to their current level of business and their continuous expansion plans they are looking to recruit for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor that ideally has experience within the residential/housebuilding sector.

You will be require to report to the Quantity Surveyor who holds the responsibility for the development, issue and maintenance of the Bill of Materials (BoM) including the target costs thereof for all residential types. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will help with the production of the project specific BoM and related costs, included in the variations/customer extras.


* Assisting in completing and maintaining BoMs in line with the companies specification document and system manual for residential types.

* Assisting in the production of project specific BoMs to cover customer variations and extras.

* Monitoring Part Lists and setting up new approved parts, in conjunction with Design team, Procurement, Planning and Stores

* To assist with the change process (ECR/ECO process) and ensure BoM is updated accordingly. Help provide commercially motivated input into the technical, design and operational projects.

* Help support the Stores and purchasing team with their information and understanding of the products and their uses.


* Educated to a HNC or working towards Degree in Quantity Surveying

* Experience in a professional discipline such as surveying, supply chain, engineering or finance.


* Experience in the use of Modern Methods of Construction would be desirable

* Background with major contractor, house builder or specialist contractor
