Partnerships & Regeneration

Partnerships represents a fusion of contracting, housing and mixed-use regeneration expertise. We undertake design and build contracting, mixed tenure and speculative development, estate regeneration and property support services nationwide. We work in collaborative long-term arrangements with Registered Providers, Local Authorities and other stakeholders to build high quality housing and sustainable communities.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be based at our office in Stratford, London on a permanent basis. The role will include reviewing Contract Requirements/Employers Requirements and Statutory Obligations to ensure the sustainability strategy is realistic, economical and robust.

The role will work closely with the Sustainability Manager to ensure that relevant parties have accurate, sufficient information to progress the works in accordance with the Employer’s Requirements, programme and other pre-determined parameters by supporting the flow of sustainability information and supervising their functions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Aid in the development of Energy and Sustainability Strategies for new developments.

* Scale off architectural plans and elevation drawings.

* Review information provided for SAP calculations and liaise with clients to ensure information complete ready for SAP calculations to be carried out.

* Prepare As Built SAP calculations for lodgement of EPCs.

* Carry out Home Quality Mark (HQM), Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH) and other sustainability scheme calculations to support Assessments carried out by the Sustainability Manager.

* Work with the Sustainability Manager to research and accumulate evidence for HQM, CSH and BREEAM assessments.

* Assist in carrying out water calculations and daylighting calculations in accordance with credit and statutory requirements.

* Undertake self-development, including the necessary internal training to progress within GTP, specifically with regards to SAP and BRE Assessments.

* Carry out general administration work for the Sustainability Team including answering the phone, assisting with emails, database input and filing.

Experience and Qualifications:

* To be considered for this role, you will have experience with SAP calculations and ideally be a qualified On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor.

* The successful applicant is likely to be degree qualified in a Sustainability/Environmental Discipline with experience in the environmental /sustainability market.

* You will be a well organised team player with good communication skills required to build and maintain internal and external relationships with clients, the design team and our supply chain. You will be able to meet deadlines, have good attention to detail and knowledge of Microsoft packages. A willingness to learn and develop are key to this role.
