A Civils Contractor is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team working on projects in the Yorkshire & Derbyshire region. Projects are typically £1m to £5m across various sectors including: Education, Commercial, Student Accommodation, Leisure, Industrial and Retail. Role & Responsibilities: This role will operate as a ‘Number 2’ reporting in to a Senior/Lead QS and would ideally suit someone looking to step up from Assistant/Intermediate level, or a QS who has been running their own jobs, perhaps up to £1-2m in value, but wants to broaden their experience and work on more technically challenging and higher value schemes. • Measurement and valuation of works for valuations, variations and final accounts. • Preparation and submission of interim valuations. • Sub-Contract and design procurement. • Sub-Contract payments, variations and final accounts. • Cash flow and turnover forecasts. • Cost value reconciliation reporting. • Administering and/or advising on Main Contract and Sub-Contract conditions. You: • Ideally 1-5 years PQE working with a main contractor on new build projects, either as an Assistant QS reporting in to a Senior QS, or a Project Surveyor working on schemes at least £1m in value. • Sound knowledge of JCT and NEC Conditions of Contract • Ideally degree or HNC qualified in quantity surveying or construction management related subject. • Willing to work throughout South & West Yorkshire & Derbyshire
