SIG Plc is currently looking to recruit a Major Account Manager to cover North region - M62 to the Scottish Boarders, who will be responsible for a number of accounts across the region and revenue responsibility.

What does the role involve?
As Major Account Manager you will provide a solution based sales approach to the region’s largest customers. You will be expected to develop a plan for each one, maximising the SIG opportunity through cross selling and securing margin uplift through selling the SIG value proposition as it relates to your customers and prospects. Candidates need to demonstrate the proven ability to sell across a full range of construction products, based on identified customer needs. In addition you will be required to show proven experience in building lasting relationships with major accounts, with a track record of developing and growing key accounts within their region. You will have the drive, capability and confidence to make personal visits, presentations and calls to key customers and be able to demonstrate forward and creative thinking in driving sales. You will work to the highest of ethical standards;
be professional, well-organized and a self-directed individual whilst being eloquent, communicative and assertive. You will be fully supported by the Regional Sales Manager who will provide mentoring and coaching to allow you to maximise your potential.
To be a successful Major Account Manager you should have proven experience in sales in similar senior sales roles within B2B industries and have strong analytical and data management skills.Ideally you will have experience of using Salesforce CRM and strong MS Office is expected.
