Job Title: Assembly Operator

Hourly Rate: up to £18.00 per hour (Ltd Co)

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Northampton

A leading global Aerospace and Defence company, require an Assembly Operator to join their team. Do you have experience in an electronics assembly and build environment? Are you IPC610 certified?

Assembly Operator Requirements:

* Experience working within an electronic assembly environment

* Understanding of electronics

* Good understanding of electronic circuit board and assembly techniques

* Experience with using MRP and ERP systems (including SAP)

* Excellent communication skills across all levels

* Able to work under pressure

* Ideally IPC610 certified, however it is essential that you have experience of working to this standard

* SMT rework experience is essential

* Must be able to read engineering drawings

Assembly Operator Responsibilities:

* Assembly of products (including mechanics, sub-assemblies and system build) across hand assembly; configuration; mechanical assembly; system build

* Set up and kit material to assigned assembly stages

* Support first-of build

* Ensure SAP build, inspection, routing records and activities are accurate / maintained and up to date

* Ability to soldier fine pitch Small Components and able to apply modifications using single strand wire

* Maintain compliance with product build and test processes (IPC-A-610 Class 3; J-STD-001 and all relevant site Certifications)

* Support first-of build / inspection at the start-up of each new build
