We are currently looking for a Part time Maintenance Operative at our Cotswold Spa Hospital, Broadway in Worcestershire. As part of our Maintenance team you will positively promote excellent health and safety standards within and around the home, supporting the Hospital manager to maintain a safe environment for patients in our care.

We are five minute walk from the centre of Broadway, one of the most charming villages in the Cotswold’s and we’re within easy reach of the M5, M40 and M4.

The hospital is a specialist eating disorder facility that delivers treatment programmes for children, adolescents and young adults from 13 - 25 years.
The building has been recently refurbished and is well appointed to a high standard for all those accessing the service.

Job Summary:

* Ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of the Hospital and surrounding grounds providing an excellent first Impression to all who visit

* Maintaining the smooth operation and serviceability of all utilities such as heating, lighting, plumbing and non-medical equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of these services to the Hospital

* Working positively with the Hospital Manager and Estates Manager to achieve the desired outcomes for longer-term tasks such as refurbishments and the non- day-to-day service elements of the Hospital i.e. redecoration

* Taking an active role in the monitoring of any risk areas regarding the Hospital's operations and security

* Maintaining the Hospital as a pleasant, friendly and secure place to live

* Have a genuine interest in promoting independence and lifestyle opportunities for our patients

* Be a skilled tradesperson with a broad range of practical building maintenance skills

* Have the ability to work largely unsupervised within a mainly domestic environment.

* Be confident and enthusiastic to carry out fault finding and basic repairs to all equipment including catering and laundering machines

* Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team

* Have a general knowledge of Health & Safety procedures in a Maintenance environment.

* Have excellent Record keeping skills, ensuring a good standard of content, accuracy and presentation

* Have a legal right to work in the UK
