Brewster Partners are working with our growing client in Doncaster to recruit a suitably experienced HR Advisor. This is a newly-created role working directly with the Head of HR to uphold and develop policies and procedures and ensure a strong support service to employees and management. Conveniently located in Doncaster the role is easily commutable for candidates from Scunthorpe, Rotherham, Sheffield and surrounding areas.
The job involves supporting the Head of HR by providing a professional advisory service to employees and management, liaising with payroll to ensure all relevant payments are administered correctly. You'll also participate in the recruitment and retention of employees and sickness and absence monitoring. Day to day duties will include:
* Updating company HR policies and procedures and upholding throughout the company
* Managing work place issues and delivering effective solutions
* Maintaining the HR software and keeping up to date
* Supporting the Head of HR with project work
* Sickness records; recording and monitoring information
* First line support for line managers and employees
* Seeking employment references
* Conducting exit interviews
* Monitoring Maternity/Paternity periods
* Assisting in the recruitment process, JD’s, internal ads, shortlisting and interview packs as well as preparing offer letters, employment contracts, employee Inductions
* Supporting in performance appraisals
* Disciplinary and grievance meetings
To be successful in your application you need to have relevant and recent HR support experience. We're looking for someone CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards. We are also looking for someone who has:
* HR Administration experience
* Awareness of statutory legislation and procedures relating to HR
* Advising line managers on generalist HR advice
* Supported line managers with performance management of staff
* 25-30k dependent on experience and qualifications
