We are working with Tutor Doctor Warwick, to recruit for professional and committed Freelance Tutors to join the team based in the Warwickshire area. We are currently recruiting for Tutors in the core subjects of Maths, English and Science for all levels as well as Psychology A-Level. Programmes available to teach include Primary, 11+, SATs, GCSE, A-Level, University Degree Subjects, Special Needs and Academic Discipline.

With more than 15 years of tutoring experience, Tutor Doctor has helped over 200,000 students of all ages and learning levels. Tutor Doctor make sure to find tutors that don’t just have the right qualifications on paper, but have a passion for what they do and possess excellent people skills. Tutor Doctor are looking for tutors who can build relationships with students and help them feel comfortable and cared for during their sessions.

The first obstacle to face in students’ education is their personal learning style. As a result of getting this right, they are able to learn more quickly and retain information more effectively. You must therefore be adaptable to different learning styles and have the skills to build up your students’ confidence and motivation to be successful.

Responsibilities and Duties as a Tutor:

* Deliver high quality 1:1 teaching to students

* Create customised learning plans and schedules for each students’ tailored to their strengths and learning style

* Make your students a top priority by being flexible and available when needed

* Work closely with parents and teachers to keep everyone informed about a student’s progress and needed support

* Can take ownership and responsibility for personal actions and projects

* Regular meetings with the Education Consultant

What you will be offered as a Tutor:

* Competitive rates of pay between £15 - £22 per hour, depending on the programme teaching

* Able to specify what programmes you would like to teach (dependant on sector specific qualifications)

* Be a part of the Tutor Association

What we are looking for in Tutors:

Essential knowledge and requirements:

* Sector specific qualifications- qualified to degree level and above is desirable

* Subject matter expertise

* Flexible and available 7 days a week- mainly during the evenings and school holidays

* Must be willing to undergo a Background and DBS check

* Hold a full, valid and clean driving licence as well as own transport

* Willing to travel to their students’ homes or other mutually agreeable location

* Previous experience of teaching at all levels is desirable

* High organisational and time management skills

* Adaptable to different learning styles

* Engaged and consistent

* Empathetic of what a student goes through
