An opportunity has arisen to join a long established motorcycle wholesaler in the capacity of a motor underwriting technician working in a multi-skilled environment. The company has a particular emphasis in the non-standard arena providing services to a select number of specialist brokers in the UK.

* The ideal candidate would have gained a minimum of two years-experience in a previous role either in a broking/insurance company/MGA environment, ideally in the motorcycle arena.

* Minimum of 1/2 years underwriting experience.

* Experience of a proprietary computer system would be an advantage.

* Ability to communicate

* Familiarity with policy ledger

* Accuracy and literacy together with ability to communicate at all levels

* Ability to work on own initiative, meet deadlines and ‘can do’ attitude

* Experience in Excel/Word/Access

* Bespoke quotation i.e. accurately securing and recording risk details

* Pricing of risks within a defined criteria

* Processing of risks by FC-EDI including overriding premium, excess, endorsements

* Policy administration including risk validation, checking, mid-term adjustments

* Resolution of CUE/fraud enquiries

* Preparation of renewal terms and despatch of renewal notices to intermediaries in a timely manner

* Regular broker engagement including handling of telephone and brokers queries from intermediaries

* Regular review of reported claims including monthly triangulation and high-level reporting

* Software house testing including the reporting and resolution of queries
