Acquisition Associate

Basis: Permanent

Location: Southend on Sea.

Hours of Work: 9am- 5:30pm Monday to Friday (some inspections will be required beyond these hours)

Salary: Competitive salary offered along with an incentive scheme


* Identifying assets for acquisition.

* Arranging appointments and inspecting the properties.

* Undertaking financial appraisals and valuation of the assets.

* Liaising with the board to seek approval for acquisition of the asset.

* Negotiating with the Vendor and progressing the sale through the legal process.

* Reviewing and reporting upon any due diligence matters which may arise during the acquisition process.

* The production of regular reports for senior management demonstrating the progress of acquisitions and funds deployed.

* Assistance in appraising existing stock for re-development.

* Providing assistance to the wider team and general office support when required (answering the phone etc).

Requirements / Qualification/ Experience:

* Degree in relevant subject is desirable. This role is ideally suited to a graduate surveyor seeking their first client-side role.

* A minimum of 5 A*-C GCSE’s particularly in the core subjects of English, Maths and Science.

* A Full driving licence is necessary.

* The candidate will need to show hunger and determination to learn and progress.

* Strong property valuation ability is essential. A demonstrated knowledge of the local housing market is desirable, and some sales negotiation experience is desirable.

* ARLA and RICS qualifications are desirable.

* An understanding of leasehold property and particularly the lease extension process is desirable.

* Strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise and self-motivate are essential to manage a heavy workload.

* Good excel and power-point skills are required for reporting.

* Salesforce knowledge is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
