A well respected true market leading brand within the paint and coatings market. This is a superb opportunity to join an established and innovative brand as a key member of the Category Management team.

PACKAGE: up to £29,000 salary plus pension, healthcare and excellent holiday entitlement.

THE COMPANY: A manufacturer with a great reputation in the market and with an excellent product portfolio. Due to internal promotion there is an opening for an RSM on the independent distributor arm of the business. This is a key strategic role reporting to the National Sales Manager.

THE JOB: This person will join the Category management team of 3 based at the company's North West based office and work across a brand spanning paint and coatings. The purpose of this role is to the collation, analysis and interrogation of category management data sources for use across the business. You will be providing key and integral support services to the marketing, commercial and finance departments in terms of category management and merchandising experience. Other responsibilities include:

- detailing analysis of retailer sales data and to identity trends and opportunities for the company's retailers and brands to strengthen sales and improve profitably

- Creation & update of line plans (store and shelf layout plans) using specialist software such as JDA Space Planning

- Creation, development, update and circulation of market charts and spreadsheets for both use internally and externally.

- Track and share the effectiveness of promotional activity and market influences with the wider marketing, commercial, sales and finance teams.

LOCATION: Office based in the North West - applicants need to live within easy commute of Lancashire

THE PERSON: We need someone experienced in Excel with a track record in an analytical role within a commercial category management team environment. Knowledge of category management, excellent attention to detail and presentation / interpersonal skills as well as organisational and planning skills are key attributes for this role.
