Chef de Partie, Derwent Valley

An exciting opportunity for a Chef de Partie at one of Derbyshire's prime restaurants. Based within stunning gardens, and surrounded by stunning countryside this Michelin Star restaurant has won a huge number of awards and rave reviews since opening over 30 years ago. There is a fantastic, dynamic team based in the state-of-the-art kitchen offering an exclusive culinary experience to its diners.

The Role

As a Chef de Partie, you will work closely with the Souse Chef and Head Chef on different sections of the kitchen - allowing you to further learn a restaurant's culinary procedures, build stamina to handle high-pressure situations and learn about multiple duties .

Role Responsibilities:

- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality
- Managing and training any demi-chef de parties or commis working with you
- Helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus
- Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
- Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins

Essential Skills & Requirements

- Ideally applicants should have experience within a similar role, and preferably within a fine dining restaurant - though there is excellent training opportunities so drive and passion are of the upmost importance
- Catering School qualifications preferred
- Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred although not essential for commencement as will be certified with the Company
- Excellent command of the English language
