I am currently looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to join a lead financial services organisation in Glasgow City Centre. Working with a company that has a very clear growth strategy you will manage development teams and plan the development work to achieve success. The role is all about...

-Managing Software Development Teams
-Taking accountability, assessing situations and making critical decisions when faced with complex demands and issues that can, and will, arise throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaising with and managing relations with third party suppliers to resolve problems, ensuring successful delivery on projects.
- Managing the integration of complex IT systems, including 3rd parties, engaging relevant platform teams and applying appropriate oversight and control to achieve the overarching project / programme plan
- Ensuring projects / programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and all governance, risk and regulated frameworks are adhered to throughout the project life cycle

In order to be successful in the role, candidates need to have,

-Technical background with exposure to any of the following .NET, JAVA, C++, C-
- Experience managing Software Development Teams
- Ability to lead a team of resources across multiple sites, whilst building solid business relationships
- Sound business acumen and judgement; ability to see and communicate technology challenges in business terms; ability to understand and deliver business value
- Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on exceptional stakeholder and customer focus ensuring that the customer experience is at the forefront of thinking
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills; must be capable of focusing and maintaining project direction and be able to lead and motivate a team of specialist resources, as well as management of senior stakeholders.
- Ability to lead a team of resources across multiple sites, whilst building solid business relationships
- Experience of liaison with suppliers in terms of contracts, stakeholder management, and delivery
