We are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Manager who, working as part of a multidisciplinary team, will be responsible for all site maintenance operations (both mechanical and electrical). Site operations are maintenance intensive and effective maintenance support is essential to efficient and continuous operation.

The processing activities utilise a wide range of equipment and techniques from heavy industrial crushing and screening to traditional methods associated with fine chemicals manufacture. The site located in Shropshire, operates a continuous process on a 24/7 basis.


- Planning and scheduling of maintenance activities and shutdowns in cooperation with other departments
- Setting, managing and controlling maintenance budgets
- Coordinating insurance and statutory inspections as required
- Managing activities in accordance with all company safety, environmental and quality policies, standards and procedures
- The training and development of reporting staff
- Ensuring all departmental procedures, risk assessments and other control documentation are relevant and up to date
- Management of control of change procedures
- Promoting a strong safety culture and awareness and conducting regular safety samples
- Setting and driving efficiency standards and improvements within the department

Requirements / skills:

- Engineer with strong mechanical background and experience in electrical maintenance
- At least 5 years' experience working in a similar position
- Experience working in a fast paced and demanding environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to collate, interpret and present data in professional reporting format
- Foreign language knowledge would be an advantage

The working hours are Monday to Friday (Non Shift work)

After successful completion of probation you will be eligible for the following:

- Life insurance 3 times of the pensionable salary
- Sickness benefits: full pay (incl. any statutory sick pay) from the Company for the first 6 months by 75% of the salary payable through the permanent health insurance system

Salary: Circa £45,000 plus eligible for up to 15% annual performance bonus.
