Maintenance Team Leader

Up to £43,000 doe – days – pension – holidays – full development plan

Our global business partner is a leading manufacture of high volume engineered products and is looking to recruit a lead engineer to work within their maintenance department. They offer a superb development plan that you will be subject to on being appointed successfully. Having implemented huge investment on site they are looking to fully automate the plant by 2021 with 6.5M investment being made.

Key Responsibilities;

• The successful candidates will be a role model for safety.

• Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the technology in their area of responsibility.

• Works towards a zero-breakdown and zero-stop-mentality and reducing the maintenance costs including working capital reduction for spare parts.

• Allocate and co-ordinate the work of all maintenance personnel and contractors to ensure that production OEEs and site safety requirements are met and optimized, undertake the day-to-day supervision of the maintenance team to ensure that they operate efficiently, are well disciplined and highly motivated,

• conduct Performance Appraisals in line with site requirements and identify future training & development opportunities, lead the site TPM programme focusing on aspects such as spares inventory,

• Total Preventative Maintenance, predictive maintenance and OEE optimization, ensure all statutory checks are completed on time and correctly recorded & comply with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and actively lead and participate in Process Excellence teams and initiatives.

• Carry out any reasonable and lawful instruction from senior management.

Key Requirements;

• Completed a recognised mechanical/electrical apprenticeship preferably with a City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ qualification.

• Able to plan and work to tight timelines while managing several tasks.

• Experience in basic electrical control principles.

• Knowledge of process instrumentation.

• Knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic systems and components.

• Strong communication skills.

Ideally you will also have;

• IOSH

• NEBOSH
